Wake Forest, NC (March 14, 2021) – On Saturday night, March 13, a woman was killed in a fatal crash that took place in Wake Forest.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of Louisburg Road and Forestville Road. A vehicle failed to come to a stop at a red light, which caused it to slam into another. The vehicle that was struck was forced off the road and down an embankment.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. A 72-year-old woman was inside the vehicle that went down the embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the first vehicle was charged with failing to stop at a red light and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
