Wilmington, NC – Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Oleander Dr

Wilmington, NC (November 28, 2021) – Around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 28, a man was killed in a Wilmington motorcycle crash.

According to Wilmington Police, the accident happened at 3500 Oleander Drive around the area of Independence Mall. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when the driver collided with a motorcyclist due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has only been identified as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.

The eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for approximately two hours. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
