Winston-Salem, NC (September 24, 2021) – Two men died and one woman was injured during a head-on accident on Sunday, September 19th.
Officers from the Winston-Salem Police Department reported that a car driven by 23-year-old William Gentry Bates was heading eastbound along Hanes Mall Boulevard when, for reasons still under investigation, he crossed over the median and crashed head-first into another car driven by 60-year-old Michael Brent Sutton.
Both men died at the scene.
A passenger in Bates’ car was transported by paramedics to an area hospital in serious condition.
This accident is under investigation.
