Clayton, NC (February 3, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle crash that happened at a Clayton intersection on Thursday evening, February 3.
Local officials confirmed that the crash happened at 6:11 p.m. at the intersection of NC-42 and East School Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection, forcefully colliding with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Police confirmed that two or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
