Garner, NC (January 2, 2022) – On Saturday, January 1, a bicycle accident with injuries happened at an intersection in Garner.
Raleigh Police confirmed that the accident took place after 1 p.m. at Garner Road and Hoke Street. A bicyclist was traveling in the area when the bicycle was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle traveling through the intersection. The bicycle sustained severe damages as a result. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those with injuries. The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
