Holly Springs, NC (January 28, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a pedestrian accident that took place in Holly Springs on Thursday afternoon, January 27.

According to Holly Springs Police, the accident happened around 2:49 p.m. at 242 South Main Street. A pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was walking in the area when they started to cross the street. The pedestrian was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. It is believed that the driver remained at the scene.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
