Raleigh, NC (January 11, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place at an intersection in Raleigh on Tuesday, January 11.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Poole Road and Sunnybrook Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with one another. The involved vehicles sustained severe damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
