Raleigh, NC (January 21, 2022) – Raleigh Police reported that one or more victims were injured in a car crash that occurred on Friday afternoon, January 21.
According to officials, the accident took place around 1:08 p.m. at the intersection of St. Albans Drive and Wake Forest Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide forcefully with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to assist those with injuries. One or more victims were seriously injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The road was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
