Wake Forest, NC – Injury Accident at New Light Rd & Northshore Dr

Wake Forest, NC (January 7, 2022) – On Friday, January 7, it was reported that an injury accident took place at an intersection in Wake Forest.

Local officials with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 2:28 p.m. at the intersection of New Light Road and Northshore Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
