Experience on Both Sides of Workers’ Compensation Cases
Leann began her legal career representing employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. She now draws on that background when representing injured workers.
Her experience includes cases involving traumatic workplace injuries, repetitive motion injuries, occupational diseases, and catastrophic injuries. She has handled matters before Deputy Commissioners and the Full Commission of the North Carolina Industrial Commission, as well as the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Education and Professional Contributions
Leann graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University and earned her law degree with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
She has also presented continuing legal education programs addressing workers’ compensation issues, including the impact of immigration status on claims and evaluating cases from an injured worker’s perspective.
